Quick answer: The L-A50 is a hybrid all-in-one energy storage system (ESS) combining a 5,000 Wh LiFePO₄ battery with a 2,500 W on/off-grid hybrid inverter and four MPPT solar inputs (1,200 W each), offering IP65 protection, a ≤15 ms off-grid switchover, and over 6,000 cycles in a compact 54 kg floor-standing unit.
What Is the L-A50?
The L-A50, from Kunlu Electronic Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., is a hybrid all-in-one ESS: battery, hybrid inverter, and MPPT charge controllers in a single IP65 enclosure. Rated for both on-grid and off-grid operation at 2,500 W, it is designed for indoor or outdoor floor-standing installation, measuring 700 × 474 × 150 mm and weighing 54 ± 0.5 kg. NFC-based configuration simplifies commissioning.

How Many Solar Panels Can It Take?
With four independent MPPT trackers, the L-A50 accepts up to 4,800 W of PV across four strings—each 18–60 V with 30 A rated input. This suits installations with multiple orientations or partial shading, since each channel is optimized separately.
What About Backup Power?
In off-grid mode the unit delivers 2,500 W continuous (2,750 VA apparent), surging to 4,000 VA for 10 seconds to start motor loads such as refrigerators or pumps. On grid failure it transfers loads in 15 ms or less, keeping computers and network equipment alive. Output is via an EU-standard power socket.
Is It Safe and Durable?
The L-A50 uses thermally stable LiFePO₄ chemistry with 90% usable depth of discharge and more than 6,000 cycles—supporting a 15-year lifespan claim. Its isolated inverter topology, Class I protective class, DC II / AC III overvoltage categories, <5% total harmonic distortion, natural convection cooling, and 0–95% humidity tolerance ensure quiet, reliable operation up to 2,000 m altitude. Thermal boosting technology extends the operating window to −20 °C.
Grid Compliance and Certifications
The system meets on-grid connection standards EN 50549-1 and VDE 4105/0124 (Germany and pan-Europe), plus IEC 62040, IEC 62477, IEC 62619, IEC/EN 61000 EMC series, EN 300328, EN 301489-1/-17, and EN 50665 for radio and safety. Power factor is adjustable from 0.8 leading to 0.8 lagging.
FAQ
Can it be installed outdoors? Yes—IP65-rated, waterproof and shock resistant, for indoor or outdoor use.
How is it configured? Via NFC touch configuration and the companion app over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
What loads can it run off-grid? Essential household loads up to 2,500 W continuous, with 4 kVA surge for 10 s.
